  • About me...

I draw my inspiration from nature, incoropating elements such as animals, pattern and landscapes into my work. My art is characterised by a snese of whimsy and playfulness, with a touch of surrealism. I use various materials inculding painting, drawing, mixed media, using bright bold colours to bring my imaginative ideas to life. Overall I want my art to be celebration of creativity and a feast for the eyes.

My artistic journey as an artist began at a young age, when I discovered a love for creativity and self-expression. Growing up in the small town, I was surrounded by nature, where I found inspiration in my surroundings. As a child, my father would also take me fishing and hunting for rabbits. This imbued a deep appreciation of where my food comes from, and a connection to the animals and to nature we so often take for granted.

It wouldn’t take long before these visceral experiences found their way into my art.

I currently work in my studio at the bottom of the garden, in my home in Dublin.

  • Testimonials

“Lucky for me, my husband likes a pint and was having a drink in Grogans in Dublin city centre when he spotted a painting of a stag on the wall.

I rang Grogans and they kindly put me in touch with Orla. Orla was a pleasure to deal with and we decided to get the stag on a bigger canvas and also get a fox. We live beside the Phoenix Park in the strawberry beds so both pieces seemed very fitting.

We love the vibrant colors and hang Orla’s artwork proudly in our home.

“Orla painted a pet portrait of our boxer Zoe a few years ago, and I can honestly say it's one of my favourite things we have in our home. The painting is so beautiful. The colours are so vibrant and there is so much texture, and the likeness to Zoe is spot on. As much as I love all these aspects about the painting, my favourite thing about it, is how Orla managed to capture Zoe's personality. I don't know how she did it....but she did!!!! Thank you so much Orla, we love it!”
